I’m so happy to announce my next studio album Donlands, out October 27th on Cowboy Junkies’ label, Latent Recordings/Warner Music Canada/Proper Music. It’s produced by legendary Grammy Award winning producer/engineer, Mark Howard (Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Courtney Marie Andrews).

Donlands was recorded at Gold Standard Recorders, located in the old Donlands Theatre in Toronto. I wanted to make an album that floated in a similar dimension as The Flamingos 1950s version of “I Only Have Eyes For You”. I also wanted to get that atmosphere Mark achieved on beautifully records he helped make such as Bob Dylan’s Time Out Of Mind and World Without Tears by Lucinda Williams. If you’re reading this in time and are in the Toronto area, we’ll be playing a surprise show tonight (Aug 23) 7pm-10pm at The Only Cafe, appropriately located at Danforth & Donlands. We thought it would be fun to celebrate the album announcement by performing the record from start to finish! It’s casual, PWYC and limited space available. 

We made a video for “Three Hours Ahead Of Midnight” at the historic Imperial Pub in Toronto. It was beautifully filmed, directed and edited by Mitch Fillion.

As previously announced, I’ll be returning to Europe with the band this October/November. 
We’ve added Oct 24th in Leiden, Netherlands at Q Bus and Oct 29th in Venlo, Netherlands, opening for The Sadies at Grenswerk. This will be our 2nd show opening for The Sadies this year, as we’ll be joining them in Ramara, ON Sept 23rd for a show in support of The Orillia Youth Centre.
