We had a great time on this special tour and the last show is already happening tonight, Saturday October 20th at Trailside Inn, Mount Stewart, PEI. Doors are 6:30 / Music is 8:00 starting with us and then Liam Corcoran (of Two Hours Traffic). We hope to see.
This past Monday, Kyle and I performed “Troubled Morn” on CTV Morning Live in Halifax, NS. Take a look here:
Kyle Sullivan and I have had a great duo tour out East, seeing old and new faces and playing off each either every night, making each show different. We have two more wonderful shows left and we’re really looking forward to them. Tonight (Oct 19) we’re at The Union Street in Berwick, NS. Sarah McInnis opens, 8pm. Tomorrow we’re at The Trailside in Mount Stewart, PEI with Liam Corcoran (Two Hours Traffic). We hope to see you. Check out the TOUR page for more info. Photo: Kristen Lewis.
Hey gang,
Well, 10 years sure does fly by. My 3rd album, ‘You, Me and The Horse’ produced by Josh Finlayson (of Skydiggers) and Tim Bovaconti was released October 7th, 2008. Recorded when I was 22 and released when I was 23, the sound we were going for was originally inspired by the production of Gordon Lightfoot’s 60’s United Artist records that I love. Josh and I both loved those albums and wanted to make a very full sounding album while keeping it mainly acoustic. Tim Bovaconti also brought his valuable ear, music sensibilities and fantastic playing to the sessions and album. This would be the album I was touring when I first went into the States, when I played CBC Radio’s Q and most importantly when I found my own voice and sound.
To help celebrate, we’ve released an outtake from the sessions, “Beating The Storm” and the whole album will be available on Bandcamp at a special anniversary low price for the rest of October!
Links are below plus a review and Q & A from Exclaim! around the time ‘You, Me and The Horse’ came out.

Hey everyone,
Kyle Sullivan and I are looking forward to hitting the road next week for a string of special duo shows. We’ll kick it off in our hometown of Toronto at our old haunt, Castro’s Lounge Tuesday October 9th (John Lennon’s birthday). The dates will bring us to the East Coast of Canada, as far as Mount Stewart, PEI at Trailside Cafe, one of our favourite Canadian venues. These shows will be special for us, after playing together for almost 15 years, we’ve made a lot of music together and we’ll be dusting some older tunes off. There will also be a different musical soundscape than what you’d be used to hearing from us, since it’ll just be myself on vocals/electric guitar and Kyle on drums/vocals. Hope to see you at one of the shows. Check out the dates at the bottom of this email.
After our duo tour, we’ll meet up with the rest of The Situation and play a couple of festivals and shows in The Netherlands and Germany. We’re excited to be playing Music Star in Norderstedt again, some new rooms, some fests such as Take Root in Groningen with Kurt Vile, Father John Misty, Trampled By Turtles (who we’ll also open for in Amsterdam) and Neko Case (Kyle and I just saw her great concert here in Toronto), among others.
We have some other shows happening before the end of a fantastic year for us. Lots of exciting news coming up in 2019!
