I’m excited to play solo this Friday August 16th at The Ship w/ David Picco Band in St. John’s. It’ll be my Newfoundland debut where my Dad is from. He grew up in Mount Pearl and I’m excited to visit family and explore his roots while there. My musican uncle Ronnie Rose is there too. I remember his recordings fondly and stories of him being in Dick Nolan’s band. Hoping to say hello. Show starts at 10pm! Check out the TOUR page for more info.
Please join us next Wednesday, July 17th at The Dakota Tavern in Toronto for an early show, doors 6pm, music 7-9. Aaron Comeau opens the show. We’ll be playing some tunes from the upcoming album and more.
Also coming up, Saturday July 20th in Ottawa at Irene’s Pub. More info here: http://irenespub.ca/event/the-del-fis-with-hundred-pacer
Thanks to the folks who came out this past Tuesday to The Horseshoe in Toronto. I was happy to be part of a NXNE night curated by Jim Cuddy. He was a class act and we joined a gang together and put our uniforms on.

Well, that was a fun 7-week tour in Europe & the UK. Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows and everyone we worked with, our agents, promoters, writers, venue staff, etc… We’re grateful for all of our supporters. We can’t wait to do it all over again. Of course wanna thank my bandmates Dan and Kyle as well as Laura and Steve for helping out. Now we’re waiting for our flight back to our own beds in Toronto. 📷: @lpphotographs
It was great to chat with Sean Hannam for his UK blog “Say It With Garage Flowers.”

We had a great UK tour and the beginning of our European dates couldn’t have gone better. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to our Bern and Opland shows in Switzerland. We still have dates throughout Europe for the entire month of May. Take a look at the TOUR page for more info.
Also, thanks to BKA in Bern for the nice write up!
“His unique voice immediately burns into the memory, the songs are uncompromising and inventive: The Canadian singer-songwriter Jerry Leger published his debut album as a 19-year-old, since then the courageous musician is persistently making his way into the folk landscape. in which he is now celebrated as a discovery.”

We’re having a great time so far playing shows in the UK. You can check out the dates on the TOUR page. I also wanted to share a couple of clips. It was great to play a couple of tunes this past November before our performance at Take Root Fest in Groningen with Matthji Van Der Van at Onder/Invloed. I chose a song from Nonsense and Heartache and one by the great soul artist William Bell. Read more below and watch here:
TakeRoot festival just announced its first names for the 2019 edition, featuring Brandi Carlile, Nikki Lane, Erin Rae, Caroline Spence and many others. In november 2018 I got to work with the lovely festival for the second year in a row and I filmed five sessions on one day. One of them was with our Canadian favourite Jerry Leger.
Leger already recorded a first session during last years Down By The River festival (where I went again last Sunday and recorded another four sessions), but met up with me in Groningen anyway to record two new videos. Watch him play a cover of William Bell’s You Don’t Miss Your Water and his own It Don’t Make The Wrong Go Away.
This Saturday we begin our next UK & European tour. We’ll be starting things off with a couple Record Store Day appearances at Music’s Not Dead in Bexhill and Union Music Store in Lewes. That night we’ll appear at The Ramblin’ Roots Revue in High Wycombe for a 9pm set. On hand we’ll have limited edition copies of the new compilation Too Broke To Die: Retrospective 2005-2019. Check out dates on the TOUR page.
